Our obdurate friend here seems to be unable to grasp even crystal-clear simple concepts. That may be the effect of somewhat freakish and haywire intellectual abilities, or possibly simply the ingestion of too much "celestial comestibles", as he himself chooses to call them.
I'm sick of lengthy pretentious poorly disguised insults that come in the form of grandiloquent but unsubstantiated weak arguments. So, I'm gonna make things simple. Try to absorb the following simple sentences through your thick cranium which has roughly 0.01% chance to get stunned by a slithereen guard with 6 cranium bashers.
Firstly, only a fool thinks that you have to explicitly state that something is an assumption for it to be an assumption. Obviously, you are referring to the assumptions inherent within my arguments, or else you will be left with nothing to respond to. How exceedingly ridiculous is it to be dubbed exceedingly ridiculous for the mere fact that I have explicitly stated something which was implicitly hinted at.
Next, since when have I ever said that time can be measured in block quantities? It is obviously the twisted logic of our obstinate friend here that caused the frivolent mental jump leading to a 20000 feet chasm with 2000 bright neon font 200000 signs of "WARNING: VERY SLIPPERY SLOPE!!" pasted all around its perimeter. And even if my first scenario is based on such an assumption, I have already explained the reasoning of such an argument in my subsequent response.
Now, it is obviously the myopic vision of our headstrong friend here which has caused him to home in on the most delicious juicy "weak spots" and pounce on them when in fact those "weak spots" are actually the luminescent twin orbs of a great horned fire-breathing dragon. Let me emphasize this once again. The word time allows for a broad range of definitions based on different perspectives and hence this fosters the possibility of the co-existence of a wide range of theories and concepts that do not have to be mutually exclusive. What I have been "assuming" in my past-present-future scenario is the visualizing of time as the periodic patterns we have discovered in nature. Mm, a nice red orb ascends slowly. Oh, the same nice red orb descends. Hm, the nice red orb should be called the sun. The sun rises. The sun sets. Oh, the sun rose again. Ah, the sun set again. Oh, it rose again. Oh it set again.
With the extremely simplistic explanation that I have put forth, it will be a miracle indeed if even our recalcitrant friend here can fail to accept it. See, since the terms "past", "present", and "future" are invariably linked to the understanding of time as the repetition of afore mentioned patterns, any argument about must stem from such an understanding and hence you cannot say that it is invalid as it is making the assumption of quantifying time, since the very premises for the argument are based on a narrow definition of time. Our greatly esteemed resident self-hater Mr. Shida has scored slam dunk by linking the understanding of time as flow concept to the concept of past, present and future, as our block-headed friend seems to be unable to comprehend with the microscopic recesses of what might pass as a brain. Simply put, you can only separate time into past, present, and future if time itself was linear. If it goes around in loops or speed up and slow down indeterminately, then past present and future will merge into a never ending tapestry that is our world. Ergo, my argument is not assuming anything as it is based on a perspective of time that may or may not be fundamentally wrong in the first place.
Finally, our fatuous friend here seems to be grasping at straws when he tries to refute my impregnable argument regarding human intuition, although there really isn't any point of refuting it as it isn't much of an argument in the first place. We observe that some people merely like to rebut for rebuttal's sake. It is commonly accepted that intuition and instinct are honed from experience. I raise the simple example of baseball. When you start playing baseball, you may be so full of lassitude that you swing the bat a full 2 seconds after the pitcher hurls the ball and even hit yourself in the face. After much hard practice, it will be simply instinctive the swing the bat in a certain arc at the instant when the pitcher hurls the ball, and this instinct is built upon the experience that you have gleaned over the months of hardcore ball practice. Of course, this simple example probably does not apply to our gawky friend here who will probably trip over a soccer ball if he tries to kick it.
The simple expedient of a word check has revealed that I have used the word "experience" a grand total of 1 time in my post and "intuition" a grand total of 1 time, hence the accusation of "using them interchangeably" is rendered void.
P.S. Why are you so plagued with stomach pains when everything you eat is a "celestial comestible"? I guess you probably typo-ed "celery-flavoured condom"?
P.P.S Don't worry, I make typos too. Though thats due to random error caused by my sheer celerity, while yours are due to an excess of fats.
