wow rather long posts. anyway both you yall make sense. but i agree with wentao more. afterall hes a god. haha joking.

It is better to try and be rejected and live with the regret of never having tried in the first place.

let me tell you a story. haha i'll try to be as not longwinded as possible. so theres guy a and guy b. and a girl. both of the guys liked the girl lah but the girl at first liked a more. if im not wrong all 3 of them were in uni at that time. but a didnt make any moves lah cos he was shy and also he had wanted to concentrate on his studies. but b decided to pao the girl and in the end both of them got together. so now a is wondering if he regrets not paoing the girl when he had the chance. true story btw.

so why live a life with regrets? and another thing from the story. even if the girl originally liked a more, b still got together with the girl. so probability doesnt really matter here. its how hard you try. theres this girl who got "stalked" by a guy. she at first didnt like him at all, maybe even disliked. but in the end they still got together. if you put in effort you should be fine. unless you've got a personality like st. or face like spotz.

shida said its "better to have never had something than to have it, or tried to have it, then lose it." if thats the case why are world records being broken? no one would try right cos they know eventually their record will be broken by someone better. its the pride. you've known you've tried and you have no regrets. your classmate maybe just couldnt handle it well thats why his semester 1 died. if everyone degen just because they got rejected half the world would be dead ready.and im talking about rejection in general not just guy asking girl those type. your friend just sucks at dealing with failure. it was sad that the algernon guy had to lose his intelligence in the end, but everyone will lose one thing or another at one point of time. if i tell you im giving you a psp to play for a month and taking it back after that would you accept the offer or reject it, cos the eventual loss of the psp is worse than the joy of having it for a month? any idiot will just take the psp and play.
