Lol yesterday night i saw this weird thing in the sky, orange flashes of light which has no sound. Wonder what it is and if anyone else saw it too. The lights seemed to be behind the clouds in the north, should be somewhere above chua chu kang or yew tee. Or maybe Malaysia.

The dark sky became momentarily lit, its clouds suddenly visible in a bright orange explosion of photons for a fraction of a second before disappearing again, the silhouette of the cumulonimbus fading away back into a homogeneous blackness. What are these mysterious, reddish bursts of flame within the clouds? Are they lightning? If so they must be a very special kind, for the light jumps between the layers of clouds silently and not to the ground, and the special hue it illuminates the sky with certainly says it is no ordinary thunder and lightning to be seen in a storm. There is no deafening roar or the low rumbling that comes from afar, neither is there the blinding silver snake that branches off with its multiple forked tongues to strike at various parts of the earth.

Artificial lighting? Fireworks? I stubbornly refuse so, for the size and power of the patches of light are clearly mockeries to the weak, trembling pinheads of lesser darkness caused by other human creations at a similar distance. The plane in the moves away as quickly as it possibly can, trying its very best to escape from this wrath of nature.

The sky blackens once more. The mysterious lights seem to have disappeared already, and the horizon regains its pitch-black texture. It seems the amazing sight is over.

At the most unexpected moment, the flashes come back with double the intensity and clarity. Ah, I can see what it is now. A golden dragon in the sky, coiling up near its tail and reaching down with its head downward. At the next immediate moment, merely a tiny fraction of its golden body is visible as it moves from behind one cloud to behind another, giving both a glimmering glow in the process. The creature weaves swiftly through the clouds, offering only short glimpses of its body. It is now apparent the lights are due to some kind of lightning, its perplexing silence remains a mysterious veil covering its true identity.
