Lolz i long time neva contribute so decide to blog a bit today...
Yesterday i went for science club selection test... Its obviously difficult, but still compared to last year's test this is quite easy already. I managed to do quite a good number of the questions there, including a question about cis-trans isomerism that i learnt but obviously forgot... So i think most probably ill get damn low for it. I was supposed to make a steam boat (literally a boat that works on steam, not the food) so i had to rush thru everything, but after i finished i realised wtf... everyone is still only half way through...
Having Nothing to do, i decided to test the waterproofing agent my grandfather invented by testing it on tissue paper. Shake the can well, spread the tissue, then press the button and spray the liquid evenly onto the tissue. And wola! You have waterproof tissue paper! Its quite fun to see the bewildered faces of fellow science club members, who did not understand why the water stayed in droplets on top of the paper instead of being absorbed. That is, until i told them about the waterproofing agent.
After that i went to do the boat... Me and my teamates(Alan Koh and MingXue) Had almost no idea of what the boat was to be like, except a few pictures and vague descriptions from kiaboon. But luckily with my great imagination, cool scissors, some masking tape, some can drinks and my handy dandy waterproofing spray, we managed to make something that actually moves. Of course we are hard pressed for time and well have to try to improve the boat as much as possible. The competition is next week so wish us good luck.
